About MFM

Founded in 1961, MFM (formerly BCFM) membership is open to all industry business professionals. In addition, MFM welcomes associate members from allied fields including: accounting; auditing; brokerage; law; tax; and other related disciplines. The Association’s approximately 1,200 active members represent the top financial, station general management, IT, internal audit, human resources, and other broadcasting and cable management personnel from all five major television networks, more than 60% of all network affiliates, at least 4,000 radio stations, more than 30 cable programming networks, and several cable MSOs throughout the U.S. and Canada.

We are very pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached between INFE (Interactive and Newsmedia Financial Executives) and MFM (Media Financial Management Association) that will combine the organizations into one under MFM's leadership. With the ongoing convergence of media, we believe this will provide a very powerful, collaborative, and educational base to our members. FTC Announces Expanded Business Education Campaign on 'Red Flags' Rule

To assist small businesses and other entities, the Federal Trade Commission staff will redouble its efforts to educate them about compliance with the "Red Flags" Rule and ease compliance by providing additional resources and guidance to clarify whether businesses are covered by the Rule and what they must do to comply. To give creditors and financial institutions more time to review this guidance and develop and implement written Identity Theft Prevention Programs, the FTC will further delay enforcement of the Rule until November 1, 2009.... read more
